Beware of huge 'service fee' added last minute

Ordered $39.99 flowers online to be delivered for a birthday, with a $9.99 delivery charge. $24.95 added "service fee" at the last minute right before I hit 'confirm' which wasn't on the original tally. Very sneaky!

Totally Heartless & Disreputable!

Ordered a hundred dollar tropical arrangement, with a golden orange orchid, and they sent one small, white orchid plant in a chintzy little pot-something I could have bought at Home Depot for $9.99. Totally furious and heartbroken, as it was to be a cheerful remembrance of good times past, meant to put a smile on the face of my dying brother. They thoughtlessly robbed me of that loving gesture.

Misleading and worst experience

The flowers delivered different products & designs (totally not the same as the picture listed on the website). Beware this company charged additional service fees without stated information in advance, when you do check out payment there are automatically additional service fees USD24.95 Plus Tax. Please check the review before ordering with this company. I doubt they are a first-hand florist store locally. The company needs to shut down the website that has been scamming & conning the customers on e-commerce. Not trusted shopping online over the years.

LITERALLYYYYYY DO NOT ORDER FROM…

LITERALLYYYYYY DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!! I ordered flowers on 8/17- they LOOKED HORRIBLE. It was almost a joke compared to what I ordered AND PAID FOR. Every day since then I have been promised another delivery that will meet my needs/expectation. NOOOO FLOWERS and it is 8/23- of course on the 10th call with "customer service", stating they can give me 50% back, when I do NOT have flowers as they told me to put the flowers originally delivered that a child must have put together, outside on porch for them to pick up. Still not resolved as I am currently holding for their pretend supervisor. AGAIN, do not order from here.

I WISH THEY WOULD ALLOW 0 STARS

I WISH THEY WOULD ALLOW 0 STARS. THE WORSE COMPANY, NOTHING BUT AGGRAVATION...
I ordered flowers to be delivered same day
They never got there. I contacted Avas and they said their was a problem they would deliver them tomorrow. I informed Avas that they were going to patient in the hospital and they would be released at 3pm from the hospital so the flowers needed to be there before 3 pm. Avas said no problem. I called early the next day to make sure they would get there in time. I confirmed all the info and. After being on hold forever was informed they were out for delivery at 12.20pm. At around 5 pm I received an email from Avas they were just delivered. So I called Avas got the run around, called back got caught in there system hung up and received a call from a nice lady from a different company that Avas subed out the order to, wanting to confirm the address, than informed me they did not handle the area the flowers needed to go to but since I had such a horrible situation with Avas they would deliver it for me. So I called Avas again and explain to them of their mess up and the aggravation they have caused between all the calls and the aggravation that the flowers weren't delivered yet.
Horrible company, horrible customer service, They are unaware on what goes on and when I saw the invoice saw they charge an extra fee for processing because they sub conontract the flowers and not actually a store... DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM THEY ARE THE WORSE IN MY OPION...

Delivery missed for a funeral

Flowers for my father's funeral were ordered via Avast, 4 days in advance of the funeral service. I also paid an extra fee so that delivery to the funeral home would take place before 12pm. On the scheduled delivery date, no flowers were delivered.

I never received any communication from either Avast or a local florist that delivery would not occur as scheduled. Avast appears to be a marketing network for florists, similar to FTD. The customer is not told what local florist has been selected to fill the order, so there's no way to follow up directly with the florist to inquire about status when issues arise.

The next day, I received a call from an Avast customer service rep, who apologized and insisted that the flowers will have to be delivered to an alternate address that I must give him. I told him that the funeral service was the previous day, and there was no point in having the flowers, but he insisted upon sending them somewhere, and giving a "10% discount". I finally relented, and gave him my brother's home address. About 30 minuted later, a got a call from a different Avast rep, who didn't know or care that another rep had called previously. He also insisted on an alternate address for sending the flowers. Again, I told him there was no point, as the funeral was over. Again, this rep insisted, and I gave him the address. A couple hours later I got a voicemail, email and text message from yet another Avast rep asking me to call back on an urgent matter. The link and phone number provided was for the Avast generic customer service site, and there's no way to contact whoever it was that called me. I proceeded to get hold of an agent, who looked up the order and saw there was a significant, escalated problem, and after being on hold for over 10 minutes, transferred me to a "special handling" department. Now this 4th "specialist" agent did nothing more than confirm that the flowers would be sent to the alternate address, and they would issue a 10% credit to my credit card.

Later that day, the flowers were delivered to the funeral home, who correctly refused them. Finally, they were delivered to my brother's home (the alternate delivery address).

I was never told that the flowers would not be delivered on time, nor did I have an opportunity to cancel the order. The local florist turned out to be the floral department of a local supermarket chain. Additionally, why would a florist go ahead and make flower arrangements for a funeral when they knew they wouldn't be able to deliver on time? The 10% "discount" hasn't been received, and coincidentally amounts to nothing more than Avas' $24.95 service fee + the $9.99 extra fee for morning delivery - $35 on a $350 order.

The customer service call center appears to be offshore. I was contacted by 3 different agents, none knowing I had been contacted already, and none offering any real solution. I'm out $350 for flowers that were too late to be of use.

UPDATE: SEP 1, 2022
======================================
Here's a timeline of all communication from Avas showing how their automated customer service system has failed in providing useful customer service.

AUG 7 - 2 flower arrangements ordered for a funeral, to be delivered to a funeral home on Aug 11 before noon.

AUG 11 - the date of the funeral. Flowers were not delivered. No communication received from Avas.

AUG 12 9AM - I received 2 calls from Avas customer service, asking for an alternate address where the flowers could be delivered. I reluctantly gave a residential address.

AUG 12 10AM - I received an email from Avas, which was an order summary/invoice. Note, this is 1 day after the requested delivery date.

AUG 12 12PM - I received a text message from Avas telling me there was an urgent need to contact them about this order. I called, and spoke with 2 agents, who did nothing more than confirm that the flowers would be delivered to the alternate address and I would receive a 10% credit.

AUG 12 12PM - Another email from Avas, this time telling me the exact flowers ordered are not available, but they will substitute and deliver on Aug 13 (2 days after the funeral).

AUG 12 2PM - Another email from Avas with a link to "an important update". The link goes to a generic customer service website. Eventually, I was able to navigate to a page where it was recognized that the delivery was late, and I was given an opportunity to request a refund of the "rush order fee", which there was none.

AUG 12 PM - Delivery to the funeral home was attempted, and rightfully refused, since the funeral was the day before. Flowers were then delivered to the alternate address later that afternoon.

===> So, now after 3 weeks there has been no further communication from Avas, and the promised 10% credit has not materialized.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Do not order from them. Looking to send Flowers my Aunt in another state at a hospital. Not familiar in the area. Google local flower shops in the area. Avas site makes you believe that you are using a shop in the area, but you are not. Comes in a box from ups. Not a fresh flower delivery as shows on web site. And the wrong flowers sent.

I ordered the Birthday bouquet (medium)…

I ordered the Birthday bouquet (medium) which was almost $60 but by the time they added taxes and other fees the total was about $100. The issue was that it looked nothing like the picture on the website!!! I was so amazed at the number of actual flowers in the arrangement. It was mostly filler like baby's breathe. It was truly a RIP OFF and FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!! I called and asked to have the total reduced and was credited $27.49 (half of the cost of the total arrangement). I would not recommend Ava's Flowers!!!! UNREAL!!!!

Horrible service and didn't want to make it right

Same day delivery service was what I was promised. They even called to verify it was a teacher not a student and said it was on its way. They didn't call me that day but waited till the next day to tell me it wasnt delivered due to thier shipper. They lied on delivery and they offered me 5 bucks instead of the 15.99 delivery fee. They ruined a special day for me and my family and didn't even call that day so i could make other arrangements

How easy is it to get a hold of customer service at AvasFlowers.net?

I tried their online contact which was a long menu of options. When I clicked "unsatisfied with the delivered items" I was referred to their substitutions policy. The ENTIRE order was substituted. No way provided to show a photo.

They actually called me and told me nobody was home when they delivered the arrangement to my mom early morning and I told them that I left a message on the site when purchasing to please deliver after 3pm because my mom was at work. They asked me if they could deliver to my moms job and I told them I didn't have the address but would call them back with the information in which I did 3 min later and they picked up quickly and delivered the Flower arrangement shortly after. I'm so happy it worked out nicely because I'm in NYC and my mom is in Georgia

Q:

Is AvasFlowers.net a scam or a legit company?

A:

I received wonderful service. Flowers were delivered 5 hours after I ordered them for same day delivery and were absolutely beautiful. My friends loved them! I think that they send out orders to local florists since my friend's flowers were delivered by a local florist.

A:

This "business" Avas Flowers is a complete scam. I wanted to order a plant for the wake for a dear friend's father. They advertise as same day delivery which is the ONLY reason I chose them. They allowed me to choose the day, took my payment, sent me... not one- but TWO emails confirming it would arrive that day by 3pm. About 30 minutes later, I happened to see another email from them saying "there's a problem with your order" and provided a number to call. I called the number and sat on hold for 20 minutes. Then someone answered and said we don't deliver on Sunday. I asked why their site allowed me to pick the day and why did they confirm the time and date... and they kept saying they don't deliver on Sunday. So, I said, just cancel the order. She said we can't refund the $20.00 service fee. I asked "why am I paying a service fee, you didn't do anything?!" She said "it's in the terms of service". After about a half hour of the rep talking over me, and arguing about my refund, I decided to go ahead with the order and have it shipped to my friend's house to arrive on Tuesday. I received a tracking number yesterday that said it would arrive by 9PM. I just checked the tracking number and now... it says not until tomorrow (Wednesday) by 9PM. I am betting tomorrow will have another arrival date.(I wonder if I hadn't seen that other email, would they have sent it to the funeral parlor 3 days late?) RIDICULOUS! DO NOT USE AVAS FLOWERS!
